We will be running a Socialeyes course, to help autistic adults to develop social skills, in Reading from next month.
This free course for adults on the autism spectrum, aged 18 or over, helps to develop social skills and understanding.
The course will start at Reading Borough Council’s New Directions North Reading Centre, in Archway Road, Caversham, on Tuesday, May 9, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Classes last for two hours and the course runs for eight weeks.
Socialeyes was developed by the National Autistic Society in conjunction with autistic adults and leading professionals.
It focuses on eight social skills that people on the autism spectrum can have difficulty with, including starting and ending a conversation, body language and facial expressions, eye contact and personal space.
