MEMBERSHIP

As a member of Berkshire Autistic Society you can enjoy the following benefits

Fact-File. Full of autism specific useful information. A free copy is given to Family Members when they join. Professional members and the public can buy a copy for £10 including P&P.

Newsletter. Noticeboard, our popular newsletter, contains news of local events, services, members’ contributions, tips, research, training etc.

Library. Probably the largest autism specialist library in Berkshire, regularly updated containing over 100 titles, plus DVD’s and Video’s available to borrow.

Discounted Admission. Members enjoy preferential admission rates to our speaker and training
programme.

Social and Leisure. We run a range of family and adult events, specifically catering for the needs of the autistic person. For example we offer trampolining, swimming, days out, bowling, walks at various sites in Berkshire.

Financial. We offer help and advice in claiming Disability Benefits, in particular help in completing the Disability Living Allowance form.

Family Membership - £15 per annum
(For individuals with ASD, their parents, carers and relatives.)

Professional Membership cost £20 per annum
(For individuals and groups working for the benefit of those affected by autism)

Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March

and post it back to us along with a cheque for your membership fee marked “BAS Membership – Website” on the reverse. Please make all cheques payable to Berkshire Autistic Society and tell us if the family name is different from the cheque signatory so we can match your membership application with your payment.

As a member you will be supporting our aims to improve life for all affected by autism
and Aspergers syndrome, and help us to lobby for improved services and better understanding for all.

Volunteers are essential in helping us achieve our aims. If you would like to make a
