Welcome to the Berkshire Autistic Society

BAS Berkshire Autistic Society is an established charity providing comprehensive services for all ages of people with autism, their families, carers and professionals working in the field.



Our services include a daily helpline, regular newsletters, social and leisure activities for children and adults and professional speaker evenings. With our dedicated staff and volunteer network, we continually strive to work in partnership to improve the services available to those affected by autism.

Good news - BAS has been nominated to take part in the Nationwide Community Match Scheme during April-June 2015.Three charities are nominated, they all get £100 and then voting takes place to determine who will get an extra £500. The voting is all done in branch using blue tokens which are put in the collecting box below the chosen charity.

Parenting Special Children are holding a conference on Autistic Girls and Young women, on Thursday 14th May from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at St Lawrence Church, Friar Street, Reading. Three of the speakers are autistic themselves so will have insider knowledge of the strengths and challenges experienced by girls on the spectrum.
