NAS Family Seminar: Meeting Sensory Needs THATCHAM

Autism Berkshire is pleased to present the National Autistic Society Family Seminar on Meeting Sensory Needs.

This course is suitable for parents and carers of children and young people with autism spectrum conditions, or whose children are on the waiting list for a Berkshire CAMHS autism assessment.

It looks at sensory systems and how they work, how autistic people may process sensory information differently and have different sensory experiences, and strategies to help with sensory needs.

There will also be seminars at the same venue about Understanding Autism on Wednesday, January 30, and Managing Anger on Wednesday, March 27. Tickets for these must be booked separately.

Refreshments are provided, however you must bring your own packed lunch.

  • For this series of three seminars we are using a new venue, which is a short walk from Thatcham railway station, to make it easier for people without access to a car to attend. The station is served by local trains on the route between Bedwyn, Hungerford, Newbury, Theale and Reading.
