Autism Berkshire is pleased to launch new workshops looking at your rights to claim benefts, particularly Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children aged up to 15, who have been diagnosed as autistic.
The workshops will be led by Autism Berkshire’s benefits adviser, Kevin Jackson, who has extensive experience of supporting families with claims and will include detailed advice on the does and don’ts of how to complete the application forms and what supporting evidence to include when making a claim for DLA.
The workshops are open to parents and carers who live in Berkshire, or whose children attend a school in the county, and will be held at Autism Berkshire’s base at 40 Caversham Road, in Reading town centre, which is a short walk from car parks, the railway station and town centre bus stops.
There will be another workshop on the same topic taking place on Monday, July 15.
