Recognising Alans volunteering contribution

BAS chairman, Malcolm Kempton was joined by staff and volunteers to celebrate the hard work and dedication of BAS volunteer Alan Newman, who sadly passed away at Christmas.

Alans widow Val unveiled a plaque naming the library, 'try before you buy' and multi media area, the 'Alan Newman Resource Centre'.

Alan looked after the BAS library for over 11 years. Val said 'Alan loved coming to the BAS office each week, he really felt a valued part of the team and spoke highly of the work that BAS do'.

Malcolm and all the team shared happy memoires of Alan over home made cakes and coffee - Alans favourite!
