Autism Berkshire benefited to the tune of £573 thanks to generous shoppers at Waitrose’s Oxford Road supermarket in Reading.
We were one of three local good causes to benefit from the store’s monthly Community Matters donation scheme, where shoppers are given a green token at the tills to place in a collecting box for the organisation they would most like to support.
Autism Berkshire received the most support last month, picking up just over half of the £1,000 that the store sets aside for donations through the scheme each month.
Our Grants Officer Sarah Snow and CEO Jane Stanford-Beale visited the shop to pick up a cheque from Waitrose staff.
You can nominate Autism Berkshire to be a beneficiary from the Community Matters scheme at your local Waitrose supermarket. More details are available at the stores.
