Steve McCreight, a member of both our 197 Club and Bear With Me social groups for autistic adults, sadly passed away on November 1 at the age of 30.
His funeral will take place at 10.30am this Friday, November 18, at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, in Berkshire Drive, Tilehurst, RG31 5JJ. The service will be followed by burial at Purley-on-Thames Burial Ground.
Anyone who knew Steve is welcome to attend the services.
A wake will be held after the burial at Purley Sports and Social Club, in Goosecroft Lane, RG8 8DR, adjacent to the burial ground. Anyone who prefers not to attend the burial service is welcome to go straight to the club.
The family are asking for donations in Steve’s memory, rather than flowers. Donations will be shared between the social groups he attended run by Autism Berkshire and ASD Family Help, to allow his friends at the groups to have a meal or a day out.
