Training courses next week for autistic adults and pre-assessment workshops for parents still have places available

There’s still time to register for Autism Berkshire training courses for autistic adults and for parents and carers taking place next week.

Autistic adults aged 19 or over living in Slough and Windsor & Maidenhead can join free eight-week Socialeyes and Independent Living courses, which take place in the evening.

The Socialeyes course, which starts on Monday, January 9, helps to develop social skills and understanding, takes place at the Langley campus of East Berkshire College.

The Independent Living course, which takes place at Braywick Heath Nurseries, in Maidenhead, starts on Tuesday, January 10. It focuses on developing basic everyday skills needed for an independent life and developing confidence.

Free pre-assessment workshops for parents and carers of children are aged 5+ who are on the Berkshire CAMHS ASD Pathway waiting list for an autism spectrum assessment are taking place next week in Bracknell on Tuesday morning and in Hungerford on Wednesday morning.

Pre-assessment workshops for parents and carers living in the Reading, Slough and Windsor & Maidenhead areas will take place the following week, with a session in Calcot on Monday, January 23.
