Extra time to take part in Reading EHC Plans survey

Reading Borough Council’s Special Educational Needs Team has extended the deadline for children and families living in Reading, who have a finalised Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan, to take part in a survey on the process.

The aim of the survey is find out about people’s experiences of going through the EHC Needs Assessment or the conversion of a previous Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Learning Difficulty Assessment (LDA) into an EHC Plan.

Feedback from children and young people is particularly welcome to help improve and develop the process in future.

EHC Plans show how education, health and social care services for a child or young person will be delivered as a package and explain how to achieve the outcomes sought.

The deadline for people to complete the online survey is now Tuesday, February 28.

Everyone who responds to the survey and gives their email address will be automatically entered into a draw. Three winners, picked at random, will each receive a family ticket for the Hexagon Theatre.

Anyone with any questions about the survey can call the SEN Team on 0118 937 2674 or email sen@reading.gov.uk
