Dates are now available for Autism Berkshire’s 2017-18 programme of free Pre-Assessment Workshops for parents and carers of children waiting for a Berkshire CAMHS autism assessment, who live in Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire.
We are offering these workshops for the first time in Thatcham, at West Berkshire District Council’s Central Family Wellbeing Hub, in Park Lane.
Sessions in Wokingham will take place at a new venue, the town’s Youth Centre, in Reading Road, where our Wokingham Youth Group meets.
Places can be booked for workshops taking place at our office in Reading and in Wokingham, Thatcham and Hungerford between now and March next year.
- The next workshop in Reading is on Tuesday, June 20, from 10am to noon.
- The first workshop in Wokingham is on Monday, June 26, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
- The first workshop in Thatcham is on Monday, June 19, from 10.30am to 12.30pm
- The first workshop in Hungerford is on Wednesday, July 19, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Places are also available at Pre-Assessment Workshops being held in Bracknell, Slough and Windsor.
All these workshops are led by trained Autism Berkshire support workers, who are also parents of children and young people on the autism spectrum and have experience of the assessment process.
Click here for full details of our pre-assessment service and to register for free places at these workshops. You can also watch a short video made by Berkshire CAMHS, outlining what happens during an autism assessment.
All these workshops are funded by NHS Partnership Development grants from the Berkshire East and Berkshire West federations of NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups.
