Volunteers needed to support our Autism Hour event at the Oracle Centre in Reading

Autism Berkshire is teaming up with the Oracle Centre in Reading to support the National Autistic Society’s Autism Hour campaign next month and we need volunteers to help at the event.

The campaign, during the week starting October 2, aims to encourage shops and businesses to take simple steps to create a more autism-friendly world.

Autism Hour at the Oracle Centre will run from 10am to 11am on Thursday, October 5, with shops asked to turn down loud music and bright lights.

Autism Berkshire will be there for the event to give out information and raise autism awareness and we need your help to make this happen.

We are looking for volunteers who can come along and help our staff to cover all the entrances at the Oracle Centre with collecting tins between 9am and 11am and run an information stall from 9.30am to 11am to get the message out to as many people as possible.

We will also be running an autism awareness training session for shop staff and security staff at the Oracle Centre later in the morning.

If you are able to spare some time to volunteer at this event, please email admin@autismberkshire.org.uk or call the Autism Berkshrie office on 01189 594 594.
