Our Pre-Assessment Workshops for parents and carers in Wokingham are moving to a new venue next month.
Starting with the session on Wednesday, November 1, they will be held in St Paul’s Church, at 32 Reading Road, Wokingham, just across the street from the town’s youth centre, which was the location for recent workshops.
Please note that there are stairs up to the meeting room that we will be using at the church, so anyone living in the Borough of Wokingham who has mobility problems and wants to attend a pre-assessment workshop should contact us. We will arrange a place for them at a workshop at our office in Reading, which is fully accessible.
Autism Berkshire’s Pre-Assessment Workshops, which are free of charge to participants, provide information and signposting advice to parents and carers with children aged 5+ who are on the Berkshire CAMHS NHS waiting list for an autism spectrum assessment.
With long waiting times for an appointment, many parents who have attended pre-assessment workshops have found them invaluable while they are on the waiting list.
We still have free places available at the workshop on November 1 and others taking place in Wokingham on Monday, December 18, and on Monday, January 29, Monday, February 26 and Monday, March 26, next year.
Pre-Assessment Workshops are also available at our office in Reading and at venues in Bracknell, Hungerford, Slough, Thatcham and Windsor.

If you have any questions about these and other workshops we run for parents and carers, please call the office on 01189 594 594 or email admin@autismberkshire.org.uk.
