Autism Berkshire AGM features Harry Potter exhibition panels and talk

Autism Berkshire’s annual general meeting will be held at Battle Library in Reading on the evening of Thursday, January 25, 2018.

As well as conducting formal AGM business, including the election of trustees, the event will provide an opportunity to see display panels from the British Museum’s current Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition, and to watch a screening of a talk held in conjunction with the exhibition, called Brooms, Wands and Cauldrons: The Instruments of Magic.

The doors at Battle Library, at 420 Oxford Road in Reading, pictured, will open at 5.30pm. The talk will be shown from 5.45pm, running until about 7pm, before the business part of the AGM, which will be completed as promptly as possible.

Autism Berkshire members will receive a formal notice about the meeting in the post, which will also include a copy of our 2016-17 Annual Review, highlighting the ways that our work makes a difference to the lives of autistic people living in Berkshire and their families.

Click here for more information if you are interested in becoming a trustee of Autism Berkshire and to download a description of the role and a nomination form. All nominations must be received at Autism Berkshire’s office by January 11.

The mailing will also include a proxy voting form to be completed and returned to the Autism Berkshire office if you are not able to attend the meeting.

  • Our thanks to Reading Borough Council’s libraries service for their help in organising the event and the screening of the Harry Potter talk.
