Grant from Bracknell Town Council gives £1,000 boost to Autism Berkshire services in town

Autism Berkshire has received a grant of £1,000 from Bracknell Town Council to support our services for autistic people in the town.

The cheque was presented by the mayor, Councillor Sandra Ingham, whose nephew is autistic.

Autism Berkshire’s projects and community fundraising officer Sarah Brown, pictured above with the mayor, thanked the council for its continued support and gave a short talk about our services.

Sarah said: “We also had the chance to talk to councillors and fellow charity representatives afterwards about our charities, where I had many interesting conversations about autism and the services we offer.”

Autism Berkshire’s current activities in the town include the CAYP Youth Group, a weekly adult social group and a range of workshops for parents and carers.
