Get the summer holidays off to a great start at Autism Berkshire’s Family Picnic for families of children with autism and/or special needs at Forbury Gardens in the centre of Reading next Friday, July 27.
The event, which is being held with support from the National Citizen Service, will run from noon to 3pm and features a variety of activities that children of any age and ability can take part in, such as slime-making, biscuit-decorating, Lego and face-painting, football and other sports activities – parents will be encouraged to get involved in some sporting fun as well.
There will also be a quiet zone for children and an area with sensory toys available.
Siblings are welcome to attend the picnic.
All the activities are included in the prices of tickets – just £1.50 per child and £2 per adult (plus booking fee) – which also include a picnic bundle per family, with sandwiches and snacks. You are also welcome to bring along your own favourite picnic foods.
If you have any special dietary needs or want more information about the event, please email us at admin@autismberkshire.org.uk or call the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594.
