AGM and Fun Day gives members chance to have say about Autism Berkshire services

Autism Berkshire’s 2019 AGM will be held in conjunction with our next Members’ Family Fun Day at the Thames Valley Adventure Playground on Sunday, September 22.

We are combining the two events, as we want to focus at this year’s Annual General Meeting on services for families and how we can develop these in the future, so want plenty of parents and carers to be able to give us their views.

We are waiving our usual £5 charge for family tickets for fun days and instead asking members to book free individual tickets for all adults and children attending the event.

As usual, the fun day will run from noon to 4pm at TVAP, which is on the A4 Bath Road at the west end of Taplow, next to the railway bridge.

The AGM will start at 2pm and members who are not attending the fun day are welcome to join us at that time for the formal business. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available afterwards.

Members of our team will be on duty to supervise children so that parents can take part in the meeting, ask questions of the trustees and senior managers, and have their say about current services and any services they would like to see us providing.

  • Details of how to register for places at the Annual General Meeting and the fun day are included in our latest members’ e-newsletter, which was sent out today. Please remember to check your junk mail folder if you cannot see the newsletter in your inbox.

Members will receive more details of the AGM business in a special mailing, along with a copy of our 2018-19 Annual Review.

If you do not receive a mailing by Tuesday, September 10, please contact the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594 or email admin@autismberkshire.org.uk

  • There is still time to submit nominations for new members to join the board of trustees that oversees Autism Berkshire’s work. These must be received at our office at 40 Caversham Road, Reading, RG1 7EB, by this coming Sunday, September 8, either by post or email. Click here for more details if you are interested in becoming a trustee.
