Autism Berkshire’s 2020 AGM will be held online on Sunday, November 1, at 3pm.
As well as offering the chance to hear from the board of trustees and senior managers about our work in 2019-20, the meeting is also an opportunity for members to ask questions and let us know about challenges that they and their families are facing during the coronavirus pandemic – and the sorts of support and advice that they may need.
There will also be a presentation about the work of our Benefits Service, which helped clients to secure benefits awards and back payments of more than £235,000 in 2019-20.
We are holding the AGM using Zoom.
Members should register online to attend the meeting at this link. Please note that to access the registration page, they will need to enter the password that was included in the members’ e-newsletter sent out on Friday, October 23.
All members have been sent a mailing about the AGM, including a copy of our 2019-20 Annual Review.
The mailing also included books of tickets for the 2020 Winter Draw raffle
Although we are not able to hold our joint fundraising Winter Ball with other Berkshire charities this year, due to coronavirus restrictions, the Winter Draw raffle, co-ordinated by our friends at Stepping Forward UK, is still going ahead to give a much-needed end-of-year boost to the funds of the charities.
Please can we ask you to buy some tickets to support us and ensure we are able to continue to support autistic people and their families during this difficult time – we have suffered a big drop in donations and money raised in sponsorship, due to the cancellation of so many fundraising events and activities this year.
As usual, the top prize in the draw is £1,000 of vouchers which can be spent at John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose stores – and there are lots of other great prizes to be won.
Winter Draw tickets cost just £1 each and you can pay for them using the online donations payment page on our website.
Please return your completed ticket stubs to the Autism Berkshire office. If you would like to buy more books of tickets for the draw, please contact the office using the details below
