Join Carly and Amanda for a Friday Lunch Break

Parents and carers of autistic children and young people in Berkshire can get support in a new way from Friday this week, January 15, with the launch online of Friday Lunch Break with Carly and Amanda.

Autism advocate Carly Jones MBE and Autism Berkshire family support worker Amanda Walker are hosting a series of free and friendly Friday lunchtime online get-togethers on Zoom.

The aim is to give the parents and carers of autistic children living in Berkshire – and those whose children are on the waiting list for an autism assessment – the chance to get together over a cup of tea or coffee to chat, share issues and ideas, and get advice in a relaxed atmosphere.

The sessions will take place weekly between 12 noon and 1pm from January 15 to February 5 and then, after a break for half-term, from February 26 to March 19.

If you can’t make it on the dot of noon, you are welcome to join in at any time during the session.

You can now register for free places at the following Friday Lunch Break with Carly and Amanda sessions. Click the dates when you would like to attend – registration will close at 11.30am on the morning of each event:

Bookings for the sessions from February 26 to March 19 will open next month.
