Newbury event offers autistic adults work and money advice

The disability employment charity GRAFT Thames Valley and Autism Berkshire are working together on a project to help autistic adults in the county who want to find work.

As part of this, we are running a free workshop in Newbury next week focusing on the cost of living.

GRAFT trustee Anna Aprea will talk about Spending With Confidence, including budgeting and keeping your personal data safe when you are online.

The event will also offer the opportunity to hear about the free Survival Guide Skills for Employment course for autistic adults, and other support available from GRAFT, and to get expert advice from Autism Berkshire’s Benefits Service manager Kevin Jackson.

The workshop will take place from 10am to 2pm on Friday, February 10, at Broadway House, in The Broadway, Newbury.

Places are limited, so must be booked in advance by calling GRAFT’s office in Reading on 0118 805 950 or emailing info@graft.org.uk

  • A light lunch will be provided – please advise GRAFT of any dietary requirements when you book.
