10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Emmer Green Youth & Community Centre
We are running a free drop-in family summer activity morning at Emmer Green which will also offer the chance to find out about proposals for a new school in Reading for autistic children and children with complex needs, aged from 5 to 19, who live in Reading, the Borough of Wokingham or West Berkshire.
There will be lots of art and craft activities for children to enjoy, plus slime-making and cupcake decorating. Parents and carers can have a tea or coffee and talk to our family support worker Elaine Dowding.
We will have information available about the Ambitious About Autism Schools Trust’s plans to bid to run the new school in Reading. The Trust wants to hear the views of parents and carers and anyone with an interest in special education, so that its proposals reflect the views and needs of the communities the school will serve.
All comments and questions from this event will be passed on to the Trust’s bid team.
