Find out about your rights to claim benefts, particularly Disability Living Allowance (DLA), for children aged up to 15, who have been diagnosed as autistic.
Please note that these online workshops are for Berkshire residents with autistic children or families whose autistic children attend schools in the county – we regret that we are not able to offer advice to people from other areas, due to funding rules.
These free workshops are led by Autism Berkshire’s benefits service manager Kevin Jackson, who has extensive experience of supporting families with claims and will include detailed advice about how to complete the application form and what supporting evidence to include when making a claim for DLA.
If more than one parent or carer from your family, such as a grandparent, wants to attend, please book a separate ticket for them.
Once you have registered for the workshop, one of our team will contact you with instructions about how to join this online session on Microsoft Teams.
For more information about this workshop or support from our Benefits Service, email benefits@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 01189 594 594 (option 2) and leave a voicemail with your contact details. One of our advisers will call you back.
- This workshop is supported by Reading Borough Council’s New Directions adult learning and employment service.
