This group for autistic adults aged 18+ in the east of Berkshire meets fortnightly, usually on a Tuesday morning. Helen Harris is the co-ordinator.
Current members of our Bear With Me and 197 Club social groups are welcome to take part in the walks, but if you have not previously used Autism Berkshire services, please register in advance to join the group by completing the online Walking Group registration form.
If you have any questions about the group, email adult.support@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 01189 594 594 (option 2) and leave a message.
Forthcoming walks:
- Tuesday, December 10: The parkland at Cliveden House. Meet for a 10am start in the car park at The Feathers pub, at the junction of Cliveden Road and Taplow Common Road, opposite the main entrance to Cliveden. We will have National Trust vouchers for free entry. Please use suitable footwear and bring a drink and a snack.
- Tuesday, December 17: A visit to the Stanley Spencer Gallery in Cookham for a special tour of its Winter Exhibition, titled Seeing the Unseen, which looks at what inspired the artist and shows how his reality and imagination merged, followed by a short walk around the village and a stop at a cafe. Meet at 10am at the gallery, which is in the village’s High Street.
NB: Please ensure that you let Helen Harris know in advance that you plan to take part in a walk, or if you have to drop out at short notice, by emailing helen@autismberkshire.org.uk or text her on 07731 855377.
- The Walk & Talk group is supported by the Englefield Charitable Trust.
