This group offers an opportunity for autistic women, aged 18 and above, who live in the Slough Borough Council area, to make connections, share experiences and build a support network with people who ‘get’ them.
It will provide a safe space where they set the agenda for discussions and activities and an opportunity to develop friendships and a peer support network to improve their wellbeing and self-confidence.
Our adult autism support mentor Eleri Booth and an autistic volunteer facilitate the group and can offer advice about autism and help to get support from other services, such as healthcare, benefits advice and employment support.
The group meets at the Chalvey Community Hub, in Ladbrooke Road, just off High Street.
The meetings normally take place twice a month on Thursdays, between 10.30am and 12pm, with forthcoming sessions on the following dates (details of sessions in 2026 will be announced nearer the time):
- September 4 and 18
- October 16
- November 6 and 20
- December 4 and 18
If you would like to attend the Slough group for autistic women, or have any questions, please email adult.support@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 01189 594 594 (option 2) and leave a voicemail message with your contact details. One of our adult support mentors will get in touch.
We also have a group in Slough for autistic young adults, aged 18 to 25 – click here for details.
- The group is funded by a #OneSlough grant from Slough Council for Voluntary Service and Slough Borough Council.
