Fundraising Challenges

Charity challenges are one of the most enjoyable ways to raise money for Autism Berkshire – choose what you want to do and ask your family and friends to sponsor you.

Challenges that people have taken on to raise money for us include:

  • Head shaves
  • Long-distance walks and runs
  • The Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland within 24 hours
  • Running in the Reading and Bracknell half-marathons or the London Marathon
  • A team relay swim across the English Channel

Big or small, whatever people choose to do and however much money they raise, we make sure that every penny raised goes to our work to help autistic people and their families in Berkshire.

Once you have chosen your challenge, you can quickly set up a personal online fundraising page on the Give As You Live website and then share the link with people you know.

You can use the page to tell family and friends what you are doing and why and they can sponsor you online via the page – please encourage them to Gift Aid their donations, which will generate an extra 25p for our funds for every £1 they donate in sponsorship, if they are a UK taxpayer.

And please let us know about your challenge, so that we can share details with our supporters and help to publicise what you are doing and maximise the amount of money you raise.
