Autism Berkshire’s 2016 Ball takes place on Saturday, November 12, at the Hilton Reading and we are delighted to announce that the master of ceremonies will again be stand-up comedian John Williams.
John, the writer of the My Son’s Not Rainman blog, which has just been published as a book, was a popular MC and auctioneer at last year’s ball. Click here to read a recent article in The Guardian about John and his life as the father of a child with autism.
The Mayor of Reading, Councillor Mohammed Ayub, will officially open the ball, which runs from 7pm to 12.30am.
Live music will be provided by The Sharp Nine Trio, playing hits ranging from Abba to Stevie Wonder.
The top prize in the raffle will be £1,000 of John Lewis vouchers.
Tickets for the ball, priced £40 per person, include a three-course meal.
Click here to book tickets and for more information about the event or call Claire Finnerty at the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594 or email admin@autismberkshire.org.uk.
Proceeds from the ball will fund Autism Berkshire’s work supporting people living with autism in the county.
