The 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest match-funding campaign, supporting more than 1,000 charities this year, including Autism Berkshire.

For one week at the start of December 2025, every £1 that you donate online will be turned into £2 for our funds, thanks to the Big Give’s match funding system, helping Autism Berkshire to make a difference for autistic people and their families in the county and the Thames Valley.

We are raising funds for:

  • Our Helpline service for autistic people and their families
  • The Thames Valley Autism Alert Card scheme
  • Trampolining sessions for autistic children at Bracknell Trampoline Centre
  • Family Fun Days at the Thames Valley Adventure Playground in Taplow

One donation, double the impact

  • A £5 donation becomes £10, paying for us to issue two Thames Valley Autism Alert Cards
  • £10 becomes £20, paying for an extended support call from our Helpline
  • £20 turns into £40, paying for a trampolining place for a child for two months.
  • £250 turns into £500, helping us to pay for a Family Fun Day at the Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

Where do I make my Big Give donation?

To be doubled by match funding during the Christmas Challenge Week, all donations must be made through the Big Give website – click here.

FAQs

When is the 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge?
The 2025 Big Give Christmas Challenge runs for one week – starting at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 2, and ending at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 9.

Can I organise a fundraising event or make a collection during the week to help you?
Of course – and if you then pay the proceeds to us through the Big Give website, the match funding system means that you will double the amount raised to help us support autistic people and their families. Please get in touch at fundraising@autismberkshire.org.uk if you need any advice or publicity for something you are doing to raise funds – you could hold a festive baking sale or Wear a Christmas sweater day at work or offer a gift-wrapping service in return for a donation.

What payment methods can I use to donate?
The Big Give website accepts the following cards: Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Switch, Solo, Delta, American Express, CAF Bank & Business cards displaying the Mastercard logo.

Can I add Gift Aid?
Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer, you will be able to select to add Gift Aid during the donation process, boosting its value to us by 25%.

How is my Big Give donation doubled?
Match funding is provided by a charity’s pledgers and Big Give’s Champions (charitable trust and foundations, philanthropists and businesses). Every donation will be doubled until our match funding pot runs out – after that, any more money donated will still be paid to Autism Berkshire but will not be match-funded.
