Autism Berkshire is pleased to announce that our new Wokingham youth group will meet for the first time on Saturday this week, July 2.
Sessions will take place at Wokingham Youth Centre, in Reading Road, between 1.15pm and 3.15pm. Click here for more details of future meetings on Saturdays until March next year.
The group is an opportunity to meet new people and make friends, as well as developing communication and social skills in a fun and playful environment. It will be led by Garrick Rahal, who also runs our Bracknell CAYP Group for children and teenagers.
Children will be able to enjoy ball games, table tennis and other running-around games, along with board games and art & craft activities. A pool table will also be available.
The group is for children living in the Borough of Wokingham who are aged eight to 17 with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum condition, including Asperger syndrome, or are on the CAMHS waiting list for an ASD Pathway assessment, and their siblings.
Please note that children must be registered in advance to attend sessions. Email admin@autismberkshire.org.uk or call the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594 for more details and to register for places.
