To make it easier to register for free places at our autism-friendly family swimming sessions in Reading, from this week we are taking bookings online.
Places can be reserved at the Eventbrite.co.uk website, which we use already for bookings for our workshops, training courses and family fun days.
The next session takes place this Saturday, May 13.
A button linking to the Eventbrite booking page can be found in the Family Swimming section on our Leisure page. The page also gives details of swimming sessions until the end of this year.
All places at the sessions, which are held on the first Saturday of each month between 4pm and 5pm, need to be booked in advance. We need to have this information to ensure that sufficient lifeguards are on duty for the number of people attending.
The swimming sessions take place at the Rivermead Leisure Complex, just across Richfield Avenue from the Autism Berkshire office.
During the sessions, the music and lighting in the pool area are turned down to create an autism-friendly atmosphere.
If you have problems booking online, please call the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594 or email contact@autismberkshire.org.uk.
The sessions, which are open to families living with autism throughout Berkshire, are funded by a grant from the BBC Children in Need appeal.
