Children and parents/carers are welcome to join us for a free drop-in family fun morning at Emmer Green Youth & Community Centre in Reading on Monday, August 12.
The event will also offer the opportunity to find out about the Ambitious About Autism Schools Trust’s bid to open a new school in Reading.
The fun morning will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the youth & community centre, which is in Grove Road. Just come along – there is no need to book.
We will have lots of art and craft activities for children, plus slime-making and cupcake decorating.
Parents and carers can have a tea or coffee and chat with our family support worker Elaine Dowding.
- We would appreciate it if families intending to attend this event could register in advance for free places, to help us know how many people to expect. Click here to reserve free places.
We will also have information available about the Ambitious About Autism Schools Trust’s plans to bid to run the new specialist school in Reading.
It would take up to 150 children, aged from 5 to 19, from Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire.
The Trust wants to hear the views of parents and carers and anyone with an interest in special education, so that its proposals reflect the views and needs of the communities the school will serve.
All comments and questions from this event will be passed on to the Trust’s bid team.
