Supported internships in focus at Preparing for Adulthood workshop

The Berkshire West Autism & ADHD Support Service has a free Preparing for Adulthood workshop coming up in December about supported internships for young people.

Maurice George, the CEO of Berkshire-based charity Ways into Work, will talk about the Route to Recruit internships programme that it runs with local SEND education providers and answer questions.

The workshop will take place online on Thursday, December 10, from 10am to 11.30am.

It is open to the parents/carers of autistic and ADHD 13 to 17-year-olds who have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) and are registered as patients with a GP surgery in the Berkshire West NHS area (the Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire council areas). NB: your child does not need to have a formal diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD for you to attend.

If you would like to attend this workshop or have any questions, please email contact@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 01189 594 594 (option 1) and leave a voicemail message.
