Helping hands and tombola prizes needed for our stall at first Bracknell Rocks Autism fun day

Autism Berkshire will have a fundraising and information stall at the Bracknell Rocks Autism fun day next week and we are looking for volunteers to staff the stall and donations of prizes for our tombola.

The event is at the Bracknell Town football ground, in Larges Lane, on Saturday, June 24, from 1pm until late, with lots of live music, football, family activities, food stalls and more, including a Q&A session with former Chelsea and England footballer Ray Wilkins.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £1 for children and under-5s will be admitted free of charge.

If you would like to volunteer to help us on the day, please call the Autism Berkshire office on 01189 594 594 or email

If you have any items to donate as prizes for our tombola, they can be dropped off at our office in Reading from 9am to 4pm on weekdays or at the Bracknell CAYP Youth Group’s sessions tomorrow, June 16, or on Friday next week, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the Willows and Maples Children’s Centre, in Priestwood Court Road, off Windmill Road, Bracknell, RG42 1TU.

The organisers, Kelly Nichols, Sean Faulkner, James and Danielle Moore and Bob Alloway, are either autistic or have family members on the spectrum.

They plan to use the proceeds to organise days out for autistic people and to educate the public about autism.
