David conquers Giant Inflatable Obstacle Run challenge to raise funds for our Bracknell adult social group

David Blackburne, a member of our Bracknell adult social group and a keen athlete, took part in a Giant Inflatable Obstacle Run at Newbury Showground to raise funds for the group.

Competitors tackling the 5k course on Sunday, October 29, had to negotiate 10 giant inflatable obstacles of all shapes and sizes.

After completing the challenge, David said: “This was one of the best things I have ever done and so much fun.”

He is still collecting money – if you would like to sponsor him, email our development worker Garrick Rahal, who supports the adult social group, at garrick@autismberkshire.org.uk

Last year, David raised £410 for our Bracknell CAYP Youth Group, where he is a volunteer, by being sponsored to run the Bracknell Half Marathon.

He enjoyed Sunday’s obstacle challenge so much that he is aiming to take part again next year.

Garrick, who travelled to the event to support David, is hoping to get a team together to join David at the event and raise even more money.
