Kay raises another £3,000 for us with raffle and donations appeal

Kay Syed raised an amazing £3091.83 for us during Autism Awareness Week at the start of the month by running a raffle at the BT office in central London, where she works, and inviting friends and family to donate online at a Just Giving page.

Kay, pictured above handing out raffle prizes, first raised money for us last year, after we helped her when her daughter Zarah received an autism diagnosis. She organised a bake sale at work and asked for donations, collecting almost £1,500.

She was hoping to raise at least another £1,000 this year but received pledges of £1,500 in just three days, with the total continuing to climb after that.

Kay, who lives in Slough, said: “I was totally blown away by the support and engagement of family, friends and co-workers in raising this money.

“I am so grateful for contributions I was given for the raffle by Tesco in Wellington Road, Slough, British Airways, Newbury Racecourse and Pilpel and Dirty Martini in St Paul’s in London. I would like to thank every single person who donated money and time.”
