Advice meet-ups for autistic adults available throughout summer

The Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service’s free problem-solving and advice meet-ups for autistic adults and their parents & carers will continue throughout the summer holiday period.

These sessions, available in Reading and Newbury, offer the opportunity to talk through issues and get advice and information. Please note that NHS funding rules mean we can only advise autistic adults who live in Berkshire, and their families.

Please register in advance if you plan to attend a meet-up, if possible, so that our team know who to expect.

Meet-ups in Reading will take place in the Atrium coffee shop at Greyfriars Church, in Friar Street, on the following Mondays between 1pm and 2.30pm, as follows:

Advice is also available in Newbury once a month, when a member of our team will be available to advise autistic adults and their parents/carers at outreach sessions held jointly with employment support charity Graft Thames Valley, mental health and activity charity Sport in Mind and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust’s West Berkshire community mental health team.

These sessions take place at Broadway House, in The Broadway, from 10am to 1.30pm on Fridays, with the next coming up on Friday, August 2, Please email us using the address below if you plan to attend this session.

If you have any questions about these meet-ups, or need help from the service, please contact our adult support team by email at adult.support@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 01189 594 594 (option 1) and leave a voicemail message and we will get in touch.
